Creation of a fishing museum ... I am looking for your help

Greetings
From the early days of my vintage fishing tackle collecting obsession , I had it in my mind to work towards building a museum that would showcase the history of sport fishing in Canada.
Over the decades, I have collaborated with many other collectors , fishing tackle makers , anglers, vintage dealers etc and often discussed my museum idea.
None of my collector pals have any idea what they will eventually do with their hoards of tackle.... but many just buy and sell items, or others stack up pieces of this history and occasionally clear away the dust.

I  remain hopeful that my personal collection (perhaps combined with other collections) will become a historic gathering place for people who are interested in with such things

Today as I again ponder how to plan ahead , I ask for your help in suggesting ideas to create this

This website is so far my only link into that museum realm and I do realize there needs to be substantial time and effort placed towards making headway.

Thank you for your time and patience as we move into the future from our rich past , present and  thoughts to future plans.

tight Lines

Passing of Richard Streeter ( Lure Guru)

Harvey Musselman · ·
It is with a Sad Heart that I am telling the member's of the NFLCC that Richard Streater passed on Friday night 10-25-24. Richard was 93 years old and wil forever be in my memories. He is the reason I am a member of the NFLCC. Regards, Harvey Musselman

Back in the early 90's while attending my first NFLCC show (I believe in Tacoma Washington) , I was honoured to meet Dick Streeter , a larger than life character who loved fishing and fishing tackle
Yes indeed, The Lure Guru was indeed a Character, loaded with knowledge of tackle like no one I had ever before encountered, and a giant sense of humour.
Rarely did I go to a tackle meet in the Pacific NW when Dick was not in attendance.
He was a decades long friend and an all round great guy

You will be surely missed, Mr Streeter... but your personality ,spirit and persona will live on!
Tight lines from Canada, eh
